Active Bodies Fitness & Therapy
The Company
My company was originally set up in 2015 under the name “Active Bodies” to provide deep tissue massage following my Raynor Massage qualification. In 2022 the company expanded and is now trading under “Active Bodies Therapy and Fitness” as I am now able to offer new treatments with my advanced qualifications.
I have a consultation and rehabilitation room at The Hydro Hub, Seale Hayne, Newton Abbot.

What is Sports Therapy?
Sports Therapy is specifically designed to assess, rehabilitate, and prevent re-occurrence of a client’s injury or mobility concerns. The aim is to work towards a client returning to functional, occupational and/or sport specific fitness regardless of age, gender and capabilities. It uses the key principles of anatomical, pathological, and physiological processes to ensure a client is ready to return to training and competing, work and/or everyday life.

What is a Sports Therapist?
A sports therapist is an educated professional trained in specific skills to optimise, support and promote healthy active lifestyles. The training they receive enables them to improve their client’s strength, stamina, balance and exercise tolerance. They may
use techniques such as therapeutic exercise, strapping, taping, heat therapy, hydrotherapy, joint manipulation and massage. All qualified Sports Therapists are members of the Sport Therapy Organisation (STO) which is a well-recognised governing body.
